HTOO Group of Companies and HTOO Foundation Mainly Sponsored Myanmar Everest Expedition

The Myanmar Everest Expedition is mainly sponsored by the Htoo Group of Companies and Htoo Foundation and its media conference is held on March 24, 10 am at the meeting room of Yangon United Sport Complex. Three Myanmar mountaineers will ascend to the peak of Mt. Everest in this expedition.
The concerned persons of Htoo Foundation, Htoo Group of Companies, AGD Bank, Htoo Hosing & Property Development and Yangon Air Port Group, which are sponsor of this expedition, attended this media conference. And the concerned persons of Nature Call Foundation, Technical Climbing Club of Myanamr (TCCM), mountaineers and invited journalists also attended this conference.
During the ceremony, the CEO of Htoo Foundation, U Paw Myint Oo presented to the audience why Myanmar three mountaineers was supported for this expedition.
“U Tay Za is not only patron of Htoo Foundation but also he is president of Htoo Group of Companies and also patron of Myanmar Hiking and Mountaineering Association. He intended that we, Myanmar citizens can proudly step on the peak of Mt. Everest and setup our National flag, where none of Myanmar citizens had been before. That is why this expedition was sponsored,” said U Paw Myint Oo.
“And this is a great expedition, which will be recorded in the Nation History. There will be so many barriers to be overcome, so, it is the expedition which will show off the undaunted spirit of our citizens. Moreover, the mountaineers will share the experiences of their long journey with others advocates of mountaineering sports, when they return back home. That’s why we supported this expedition,” said U Paw Myint Oo.
After the U Paw Myint Oo delivered the objectives of sponsor, three mountaineers who will level the highest Mountain in world, were introduced to the audience and journalists.
And then, one of the three mountaineers who will ascend the peak of Mt. Everest, Ko Nyi Nyi Aung presented about the expedition.
“Our official start of the expedition is March 29th and the expedition concludes date is June 1st to 3rd. We will departure from the Yangon on March 25th and will arrive to Kathmandu on March 27th. Since three months ago, we went to the Nepaul for preparing mountaineering gears. All of us had 10 years above experience in mountaineering field. We had prepared to ascend this mountain since 2013. For physical training, we took 6 months,” said Ko Nyi Nyi Aung.
One of the journalists asked them the estimated cost for ascending the Mt. Everest and Ko Nyi Nyi Aung answered as following. “The cost for three of us is US Dollar 105000. Beside this, the HGC and Htoo Foundation provided all necessary supports for us”
The Htoo Group of Companies and Htoo Foundation are profoundly happy as we got chance to make sponsorship for three Myanmar mountaineers, who will setup National flag on the peak of world highest Mountain.
Also in future, Htoo Group of Companies, Htoo Foundation and Htoo Company’s other companies will promote as much as possible for the development of education, regional development, social welfare, the development of mountaineering sport and other Myanmar’s sports sectors.
The mountaineers, who will ascend the highest mountain of world, are from the Technical Climbing Club of Myanmar (TCCM), namely Ko Pyae Phyo Aung, Ko Win Ko Ko and Ko Nyi Nyi Aung.
1. Ko Pyae Phyo Aung
He ascended the ice capped mountains since 2005. He summited successfully on Mt. Madwe, Mt.Pham Garam, Mt. Saramayti, Mt Gamlang Razi and Mt. Phon Yin.
2. Ko Nyi Nyi Aung
He ascended the ice capped mountains since 2005. He summited successfully on Mt. Madwe, Mt.Pham Garam, Mt. Saramayti, Mt. Victoria and Mt.Lunkrumrdin.
3. Ko Win Ko Ko
He ascended ice capped mountains since 2010. He summited successfully on Mt.Madwe, Mt. Khaw
 Nuu Soam, Mt. Haba XueShan and Mt. LunKrumrdin.
