The three Myanmar youth commendable climbers, who had done their mission so bravely, planted proudly the national flag on top of world highest mountain, will arrive at the Yangon International Airport, on the morning of May 25th, 8.50am.
The trio, Myanmar youth mountaineers, Ko Pyae Phyo Aung, Ko Nyi Nyi Aung and Ko Win Ko Ko had made press conference related with the Myanmar Everest Expedition on March 24, 2016, and two days later, they left Myanmar for the Kathamandu, capital of Nepal by the flight.
The three climbers are from the Technical Climbing Club of Myanmar, which is the first Myanmar rock climbing club, under the Myanmar Hiking and Mountaineering Federation. This expedition was proudly and primarily supported by the HTOO Group of Companies and HTOO Foundation.
After the expedition, which took the climbers about 60 days, three Myanmar youths successfully established commendable outcome for the nation. We, the foundation believe that this conquest will make positive effects on the Mountaineering sports, which is an unpopular sport in our country. The development of mountaineering sports in our country will bring the advantages for physical and mental fitness of Myanmar citizens, to certain extent.
Also in future, the foundation will conduct developmental task as much as possible for the other sports as in we had done in the mountaineering, conducting the regional development program, health and education promoting programs in where our citizens are actually in need.
