Captain Chatchawal, who had flown the Thai rescue B4 helicopter, that lost contact with ground control in a search of two missing mountaineers, had been searched rapidly by the HTOO Foundation, since the night of October 7. Today, in the morning of October 8, he was found and rescued by the HTOO Foundation. During this search operation, local people, personnel from local authorities and military are cooperating with the HTOO Foundation.
By the help of local tribe, Rawan people, Mr. Chatchawal, the Thai pilot who has been suffered some injuries, is being brought by the HTOO Foundation rescue team to the Lan Sar Htu village, where he will take rest awhile. The SOS medical team, Dr Oliver and other medical related persons are ready to be deployed in an emergency at the Putao township.
We had heard that Myanmar pilot U Aung Myat Toe has been suffered eye injuries, staying in a cave, in the woods. U Tay Za, patron of the HTOO Foundation and the rescue team are striving to rescue the Myanmar pilot. For medical emergency, one aircraft had been arranged at the Putao airport. Local people who could guide very well in this region are cooperating in this rescue operation.
