Situation of Heavy rain and Landslide in Hakhar, Chin State

According to the venerable Monk U Thumana from Hakhar Tut Oo Monastery, the Chin State, who gave information about the situation of heavy rain and landslide disaster there, at 11:23 pm, tonight, we realized that Pyi Taw Thar quarter, Zay Thit quarter, Zay Haung quarter and Old City quarter were evacuated. Currently, they are transferred to the BEHS-(2) school building, the Church, Ministry offices and house. Kwar Air, is a village which locate 20 miles away from the Hakhar, the whole village was evacuated as the mud like landslide occurred on the July 31, 2015. The Tut Ma Taw was helping the victims of natural disaster there. They provided 500 package of rice, yesterday. There is certain amount of the foods, which will only last 5 days, in the Harkhar townships. Roads to the Harkhar from Kalay and Gan Gaw are absolutely so limited now that cannot be used for transportation. So, all the supply rations are to carry there by the flight.

According to related news, the HTOO Foundation patron U Tay Za is managing to get the rescue champs in Hakhar townships, by the helicopter.
