The Miss Universe contestants, who had visited to the camp of internally displaced people at the Putao, went to the school of HTOO Foundation, on September 20 and they contributed some donations for the student who are schooling there.
And the Wai Lu Kyaw foundation also made donation for the school. Moreover, the Blue Diamond, which is one of the Htoo Group of Companies, also donated 10 lakhs kyat there.After then, the CEO of HTOO Foundation discussed about the CSR activities of the foundation and HGC to the audience.
On today morning, the beauty contestants, responsible persons of HTOO
Foundation and Blue Diamond, went on a pilgrimage to the Kaung Hmu Lone
stupa and religious donations were also made there. And then, they had
visited to the Fan Khaing charity monastic middle school.
In the evening, all the guests were treated by dinner at the Malikha Lodge. During dinner party, the HTOO Foundation rewarded Miss Malikha, Miss Active and Miss Talent. Five Miss Talent were chosen by the foundation among 24 beauty contestants, who participated in this charity trip.
The students from downtown area of Putao townships find it comfortable to attend the school but the students from remote area find it hard to get the school. So, the HTOO Foundation started the project of free boarding school since 2009.
It is a region where the regular transportation is nearly impossible to setup the project cost effectively. So the Air Bagan helped for the transportation of construction materials. After that, the boarding school started to accept the matriculation students for learning in 2012-2013.
On behalf of schooling students, the HTOO Foundation would like to express the profound thanks to the Miss Universe contestants, responsible person of Wai Lu Kyaw Foundation and Blue Diamond, who had supported the development of local youths.
